The museum is based within the chapel at UWE Glenside Campus, Blackberry Hill, Fishponds, Bristol, BS16 1DD. The walking trails are in the grounds surrounding our museum.
Are the trails suitable for children, and dogs?
Yes. Children are welcome on the trails, making them a relaxed family-friendly activity in Bristol. Dogs are permitted on the trails, but not in the museum.
Can we walk in all weathers?
Yes. The trails mostly follow established paved foot paths, and a short section that traverses grass can be bypassed if too wet.
How long does the trail take?
Each trail takes approximately 30 minutes to walk, giving time to stop and take photos/read information on the app.
How many people can join the trail?
There is no specific limit to the people who can join you on the trail, but we usually advise groups larger than 6 visiting the museum to consider messaging us to book in advance.
Is the trail wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The trails mostly follow established paved foot paths, and a short section that traverses grass can be bypassed by using a flat walking path next to it.
Is there a toilet at the museum?
Yes. There is an accessible toilet in the main body of the museum.
If I purchase a ticket, what does it include?
The walking trail is free, so if you purchase a ticket you'll gain an annual pass to our museum, allowing 12 months of re-entry for just £5.
When are the walking trails available?
You can access the trails whenever you like, but we advise they're best appreciated when paired with a visit to our museum. Our doors are open 10am-1pm Wednesdays, and 10am-4pm Saturdays.
